You task is to attack and destroy planes at Qeshm Island airbase with French Navy pilots and their Rafales. Strike Force is composed of CVN-74 USS John C. Stennis and of CVN R-91 Charles-de-Gaulle.

Tensions are growing in the Persian Gulf. After a first bombing run in mission 1 (available here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3307511/), Iran conducted retaliation strikes with SCUD lauchers. UN has authorized the use of force once again against strategic assets.

Today mission is to suppress air defenses to open a corridor to French Navy Rafales M. Their target is a command center and facilities where an enemy general is hiding and plans SCUD strikes against United Arab Emirates.

Objectives:             Enforce Safe Shipping Lanes Through International Waters
On June 19, 2019, the Iranians shot down a US Global Hawk drone with a SAM missile and was responsible for the attacks on two oil tankers, all operating in international waters, tensions in the Gulf of Oman are on high alert status.
Iran has claimed that it might ‘shut down’ the Strait of Hormuz impacting worldwide oil exports.
American intelligence agencies had concluded that Tehran was behind the disabling of two tankers in the Gulf of Oman.
Iranian officials denied any involvement in the events, which have escalated tensions in the region.
The US and collation forces set up a 'clear zone' for safe passage way in international waters.

This is a fictional based mission set in the Caucasus region and is designed for COOP play.  The mission can be done solo if you desire.  The player(s) spawn on deck of the George Washington as the sun is coming up.  I created this mission with some built in variability.  This variability comes in the form of probabilities for additional spawns that can be changed in the triggers.  

I suggest flying this as provided and then tweaking probabilities to your needs.  See forum post for additional details surrounding the trigger probabilities.  Please let me know what you think and how this could be improved.  Hope you all enjoy the mission.

“Stennis Bound” is Mission 1.0 from my “Serpent’s Head Campaign” Black Sea only version available free from these user files.

In this version the Serpent’s Head is a five-mission F/A 18C Campaign.
The campaign is story line based and follows the progress of “Ford” (yourself) and his involvement in a new conflict in the Caucasus Region. As in 2008 this is once again in the beleaguered area of Ossetia and Gori.
This conflict is gathering pace at an alarming rate such that the West have sent in a multinational force to the Black Sea in the form of some ground forces but primarily a naval fleet with the USS John C Stennis at its heart.
We join “Ford” airborne just after a tank heading for the Stennis.  

A Super carrier version is also included.
